Advanced Remanufacturing Process and Structural Preparation

Since 1978, the company has specialized in rebuilding quality engines through a detailed remanufacturing process that ensures long-term reliability. The Honda Civic 1996–2000 D16Y8 1.6 VTEC long block undergoes complete cleaning, shot peening, and magnaflux inspection to detect cracks and restore structural strength. All cylinder blocks, heads, crankshafts, and connecting rods are fully cleaned, hand-brushed, and prepared with tapped bolt holes and polished surfaces. Cylinder heads receive precisely cut three-angle valve seats and are vacuum-checked after assembly for accurate valve seating and proper sealing.

Complete Component Replacement and OEM-Level Rebuild Standards

Every long block is assembled with the cylinder head and valve train installed, including lifters, camshaft, timing chain or belt, timing gears, valve guides, bearings, pistons, piston rings, rod bushings where applicable, gaskets, and a new oil pump. High-grade components such as new SBI valves and springs, NPR pistons and rings, S.A. Gear timing components, and ITM or Evergreen gasket sets are used. The engine is rebuilt to meet or exceed OEM specifications, with CNC-surfaced heads, bored and honed blocks, ground and polished crankshafts, hardened and polished camshafts, and resized connecting rods. A 1-year unlimited-mileage parts-only warranty covers defects in workmanship or installed parts.

Passenger car and light truck long blocks are covered for 1 years or unlimited miles (Parts Only). If failure of a long block should occur during the first twelve months and it is determined the failure is due to a defect in workmanship or parts installed by ENGINE SUPPERSTORE will replace or repair the defective unit to the original buyer.
