Engine Overview
The 1995–2004 Toyota 2RZ-FE 2.4L long block is available with 4-port or 8-port intake options and can be ordered with or without a distributor. This rebuilt long block fits Tacoma, 4Runner, and T-100 models from 1994–2005. A refundable $500 core is required at purchase, and shipping is available to commercial addresses with a loading dock or forklift. Since 1978, our team has been rebuilding high-quality engines with precision and reliability.
Precision Remanufacturing Process
Each long block comes fully assembled with cylinder head(s) and complete valve train installation. Valve covers, timing cover, and oil pan are not included. Our rebuild process includes new lifters, camshaft, timing chain or belt, timing gears, valve guides, three-angle cut seats, bearings, pistons, rings, rod bushings, gaskets, and an oil pump. All major engine components—blocks, heads, crankshafts, and rods—are cleaned, shot-peened, and magnaflux-tested for cracks to ensure long-term durability.
Quality, Testing & Warranty Standards
Our machine work meets or exceeds OEM specifications. Cylinder walls are honed and blocks are bored to proper dimensions, while crankshafts are ground and polished. Cylinder heads are fully rebuilt, CNC-surfaced, and vacuum-checked. We use top-tier components including NPR pistons and rings (Japan), SA Gear timing components (USA), and ITM or Evergreen gasket sets to maintain factory-level performance.
All remanufactured long blocks meet OEM standards and include a 1-year unlimited-mile parts-only warranty for passenger cars and light trucks. A matching, rebuildable core must be returned within 30 days for refund eligibility. The crank must clear 20/20 and the block must clear .030. Passenger car and light truck long blocks are covered for 1 years or unlimited miles (Parts Only). If failure of a long block should occur during the first twelve months and it is determined the failure is due to a defect in workmanship or parts installed by united engine will replace or repair the defective unit to the original buyer.
